Separate delivery from payment

Record each delivery

Record the date, accepted litres and collection point. Keep delivery slips and note any rejected quantity separately.

Confirm price and payment timing

Use the price communicated by the buyer. Clarify any deductions, then compare the payment record with the amount received.

Plan costs before payday

List feed, water, transport, labour and animal-care spending. Consider periods with lower deliveries or later payments.

MAKE IT CONCRETE

A worked weekly example

These are teaching figures only. The 300 RWF price is not a verified market price or an offer.

Accepted deliveries
120 litres × 300 RWF
Delivery value
36,000 RWF
Payment received
35,000 RWF
Difference to check
1,000 RWF
16,000 RWF cash left in this example

35,000 received − 19,000 spent = 16,000. This is not total profit: other costs, debts and equipment depreciation may be excluded.
